We have a new trend forming at our Tampa data center these days. Our colocation customers are leasing a lot of dedicated servers from us. Our dedicated server customers are shipping us a lot of servers they want collocated. Both our colocation and dedicated server customers are signing up like crazy for up for our SparkNode cloud solutions and backup services.

The scenarios above are what make Hivelocity different than every other data center in Tampa. Because we started out as a shared hosting company that morphed into a dedicated server and colocation provider that now also offers cloud hosting, we are able to offer every customer a wide range of solutions and expertise. When you do business with Hivelocity you have access to all of our service offerings.

Why does this matter?

    • Every company’s needs change as time goes on. What may be a good solution for you today might not be a great solution for you tomorrow. Isn’t it nice to know you can take advantage of our cloud and dedicated servers with little to no effort, knowing they can all be tied together and on one bill?
    • Every server you collocate you have to procure from a vendor and have shipped to your location. Sometimes you might not have thousands of dollars available to procure a new server. Sometimes you might not have the time to wait a week or two for that new server to be sent to you. At Hivelocity you can have a new dedicated server custom built and online within 4 hours from the time you order for as little as $59 out of pocket. You can have a VPS or Cloud VM deployed in seconds for as little as $19. Try getting that at ABC Colo Facility.
    • Because we offer dedicated servers and cloud hosting, we have Sys Admins and Virtualization Experts on-site 24/7/365. Try colocating at any other Tampa data center and ask them to help you troubleshoot your server running VMware. Our support team is both willing and able to assist you when you are in a pinch and need our help. Every other Tampa data center would likely reply with “You collocate and this is your gear and therefor you need to fix it yourself. Come down to the data center and one of our unskilled staff will happily open the door and mindlessly escort you to your cabinet.”

If so many of our customers are now taking advantage of several of our solutions then I have to assume there are many customers colocating at a competitor’s Tampa data center wishing they could lease a server or spin up a Cloud VM without having to do so at a separate data center with a separate company.
