Hivelocity Hosting (https://hivelocity.net) has once again boosted its network performance and global reach by adding a 5th transit provider, Inteliquent, earlier this month. Inteliquent joins Level 3, Time Warner Telecom, Global Crossing and Cogent along with 300+ private peers on the Hivelocity network blend. Hivelocity connects to each of its 5 carriers via multiple 10Gbps fiber.

Inteliquent, formally TiNet, provides worldwide transit and was recently ranked one of the world’s top 3 IPv6 networks. According to the Inteliquent website, their global network has it’s largest footprint within North America, Europe and Asia.

In October Hivelocity announced the addition of the Noction Intelligent Route Platform (IRP) improving upon the intelligent routing Hivelocity was already performing on its network. The addition of Noction immediately shaved latency from tens of thousands of routes and has improved over 1 million routes for Hivelocity’s customers around the world in the last month. The addition of Inteliquent will further heighten network performance and boost speeds once more.

“With customers in over 130 countries it is imperative we maintain a network that will perform extremely well all over the world. The addition of Noction in October and bringing on Inteliquent in November furthers our goals of providing our clients the fastest and most reliable network in the industry,” says Hivelocity Senior Network Engineer Dan Protich

Hivelocity provides dedicated servers, colocation and cloud hosting solutions out of their Tampa data center and headquarters. Hivelocity recently launched a cloud and VPS specialty site SparkNode.com. Hivelocity was named one of Tampa Bay’s fastest growing companies this year by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
