A Virtual Private Server is one physical server divided up into several virtual nodes.  Each of Hivelocity’s VPS servers contain Dual Quad-Core Xeon processing capability combined with no less than 16GB of RAM.  Every VPS server also includes the speed and reliability of SAS hard drives with RAID redundancy.  We never oversell the resources on any of our physical servers like many of our competitors.  Because Hivelocity maintains its own data center and procures hundreds of dedicated servers every month, we have an abundant supply of server hardware when we need more physical VPS machines.  Hivelocity uses only Dell and Supermicro server chassis for its VPS servers.

Hivelocity Virtual Private Servers (VPS) are fully managed and can be outfitted with either Windows or Linux operating systems.  Our Linux VPS offer cPanel or Plesk control panels free of charge.  Our Windows VPS solutions include Plesk free of charge.
